Landroid Review: Although robot gardens are suitable for homeowners who want to spend time in their yards, many robots cost more than $1,000 for smaller gardens, and even more for larger areas. Worx Landroid M, built for lawns up to a quarter of an acre, comes in at a reasonably affordable $999.96 and is very easy to instal and programme.
Landroid M’s 7-inch cutting width is the smallest of any mowers we’ve tested, but that’s because this mower is built for smaller lawns (up to 0.25-acre). It uses the same type of spinning-disk-with-three-pivoting-blade cutting mechanism as the smaller Honda Miimo HRM310 and Husqvarna 315X mowers.
Conclusions
With the Landroid M Cordless Robotic Lawn Mower, you don’t get all the bells and whistles you get with the more costly robot mowers, but you do get a workhorse that’s done gently, and it’s much more accessible than its more feature-rich equivalents.
The cutting efficiency was very good in my tests, and the mower still stuck to my schedule and returned to its base when it needed a charge or when it was raining.
